As those familiar with my blog know, last November I attended the very first U.S. Beer Bloggers Conference in Boulder, Colorado. What an amazing experience–and I’m happy to report that I am still enjoying being in touch with many of the great beer bloggers I met there.
Today I received an email from Allan Wright, the organizer of the Beer Bloggers Conference through Zephyr Adventures. He writes:
We just today reached the magic number of 999 Beer Bloggers on the Net and you are one of those 999. This includes all “citizen beer bloggers” worldwide, those not affiliated with a brewery or other business. Please see here for the Complete List of Beer Blogs:
You can read the entire news release here: http://www.beerbloggersconference.org/2011MayBBC_NR.pdf
I feel priveleged to be counted among the first thousand in this list of craft beer enthusiasts and writers. And I’m looking forward to attending the second U.S. Beer Bloggers Conference in August in Portland, Oregon. Making plans even as I type this.
So will you be the 1,000th beer blogger on Allan’s list? Have you been considering putting your thoughts on all things beer into the ether on the Internet? I encourage you to do so, as I’ve blogged about the camaraderie we have found in brew. There’s always room for one more–and I promise you, we know how to have a good time. Join us in beery Portland!
