Someday is Today–Fighting Cancer in Paul’s Honor

by Renee on March 24, 2017

Friends, someday

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Northern Ohio chapter by making a donation to my fundraising campaign for the 2017 Man/Woman of the Year. I am part of team from NE Ohio working to raise as much as possible in a 10-week period. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes/raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year. My goal is $50,000, not so much because I am after the title, but because that is the amount needed to name a book of cancer research in Paul’s honor. Imagine being able to say the CURE for CNS Primary Lymphoma came about because of research in his name!

Most of you who have followed this blog know that Paul lost his life to CNS Primary Lymphoma in October of 2015. It came on very quickly, and left our family with a huge hole in our hearts–he is greatly missed. Paul had participated in the Team in Training “America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride” event to raise money for LLS in 2006, 2007 and 2008–it was a cause that was near to his heart. I’m participating in the LLS Man/Woman of the Year  2017 because I want to continue the good work that he did, and find a cure for this cruel disease sooner rather than later. Many of you have donated in Paul’s memory already, and have been part of #TeamDeLuca for some time, and I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you for any further contributions you can make to our cause!

Thank you, and CHEERS to finding a CURE for cancer! #CancerSucks
