It’s a new year, and this one is going to be good for us at New Albion Brewing Company–and if you are a fan of the Ale, we’ve got good news for you! Our brewery partners, Platform Beer Company, only in business since last July, have recently expanded their capacity by adding a new 10 bbl brewhouse from Portland Kettleworks. Those shiny tanks behind the bar look great, and one of those babies is dedicated to the production of New Albion Ale!
Our first batch will be ready in February, and once again, you’ll be able to have a pint right there in the Platform tap room. But the big news for New Albion Ale lovers throughout the region is that we’ll be available in 16 Heinen’s grocery stores in Ohio! That’s right, we’ll be at every Heinen’s store with a growler filling station in the beer department, from Aurora to Hudson to Willoughby and beyond. For $12.99, you can fill your growler with fresh, delicious New Albion Ale brewed by Platform, starting February 20th. (You can find the list of locations here–the only ones we won’t be at are their Illinois stores and Middleburg Heights.) I’ll be on hand to talk to folks about the history of New Albion at the Bainbridge Heinen’s store on Saturday, February 21st, from noon to 2 p.m. to kick things off! Each store will be getting a sixth barrel to start.
We’ll also have some limited distribution to several bars and bottle shops across Northeast Ohio–stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter pages for announcements of where you’ll be able to find us. The plan beyond that is move from having the beer on draught in these locations to canning–which will mean further distribution. So stay tuned! It’s going to be a beery good year! Cheers!
