Cleveland Beer Week Tickets! You Know You Want ‘Em!

by Renee on September 10, 2011

Thanks to the good folks promoting Cleveland Beer Week, I have some awesome tickets to give away for several of the Flagship Events. The entire week is going to be crazy busy with fantastic beer happenings, but these three in particular are going to be don’t-miss activities!

The first is: Culture Yourself: A Premier Beer and Cheese Pairing at the Market Garden Brewery, Oct. 20

NEW FLAGSHIP CBW EVENT! Beer and cheese are an age-old union. Both are fermented products that start originally from grain, one more directly than the other but both dependent on it. Join us for a night of obsessive beer and cheese pairings, featuring brews from 12 top breweries and over 30 artisanal, locally produced cheeses. Meet the brewers and cheesemakers themselves and discover your favorite beer and cheese pairings. Tickets are $35/person and include 25 two-ounce beer samples with cheese pairings. Sponsored by Market Garden Brewery, Heinen’s, Bells Brewery and Culture Magazine.  6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Breweries:  Indigo Imp, North Coast, Buckeye, Great Lakes, Bell’s, Market Garden, Hoppin’ Frog, Victory, Brew Kettle, Thirsty Dog, New Holland, Fat Heads

And the next is: Ales on Rails, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, Oct. 21

Heidelberg Distributing hosts this delightful ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad that includes a scrumptious boxed supper courtesy of Winking Lizard and 7 delicious craft brews including Lager Heads Barnburner Lager, Ayinger Brau Weiss, Charles Wells Bombardier, Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale, Victory Golden Monkey, Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout and Thirsty Dog Siberian Night. Advance tickets are required and range from $45-$80 depending on car selection. All proceeds benefit Malone Scholarship Fund. Must be 21 years of age. No children admitted.
Breweries:  Victory, Lager Heads, Thirsty Dog, Anderson Valley, Ayinger, Brooklyn, Charles Wells

And the third: BREWzilla: A Monster of a Beer Tasting, Galleria, Oct. 22

Cleveland Beer Week concludes with this monster celebration featuring more than 80 breweries, a special “Ohio Brewery” area with various beers from local breweries, and tasty appetizers that pair well with craft brews. Brewer’s Circle tickets are $65 in advance ($75 at door, if available) and include tastes of rare/exclusive brews and Heinen’s food pairings in the Brewer’s Circle Lounge open all evening, 3 oz. tasting glass, 25 tasting tickets, a commemorative t-shirt, access to all General Admission beers/food, and a signed copy of the newly released book Ohio Breweries by local author Rick Armon. General Admission tickets are $40 in advance ($50 at door, if available) and include 3 oz. tasting glass, 25 tasting tickets, and complimentary food by Winking Lizard Tavern. Buy 10 or more General Admission tickets and save $5 each! All proceeds benefit Malone Scholarship Fund. Must be 21 years of age. No children admitted.
Breweries:  More than 80!

Here’s how you can win: post a comment below telling me which ONE of these three events would be your choice to attend and what beer you’re most looking forward to sampling during Cleveland Beer Week. I’ll put the names for each event into a random number generator to choose the winner of each. Each winner receives two tickets. Participants will only be entered to win one set of event tickets.  I will draw the winners on Monday, Oct. 10th. If you’d like to buy tickets to any of these events, you can use the link here: http://www.clevelandbeerweek.org/product/product.aspx

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to October! Ready, set: post! Cheers~

What an AWESOME giveaway! I’d love to attend all three events? Is that possible? Alright, if I had to choose it’d be the Brewzilla at the Galleria. I’m excited to try any of the Thristy Dog Brewery beers (?I think I had an awesome raspberry ale last year!) and of course anything new that Market Garden has brewing. Thanks!

Good Morning!
Probably should play the odds and not pick BREWzilla, but we had so much fun there, last year! Would like to go to BREWzilla, and I’m very excited about trying Southern Tier’s I-90. We had a nice visit to the brewery a few weeks ago. It’s a fave.

Another vote for Brewzilla. I’d love to win those tickets!

I haven’t read too much about the “special” beers offered for Beer Week, so I’m most looking forward to ST’s I-90. However, I’m really hoping we’ll see Founders CBS and Bell’s Black Note around town.

thanks Renee!
Since I’ve already bought Brewzilla tix, I’d like Ales on Rails if I win.
And I’m really excited to try Southern Tier’s I-90. One of my favorite breweries.

I have never been to BREWzilla. I have heard a lot about this event and would love to go this year. As far for what beer I would look forward to tasting, I would like to sample all of them. Don’t know what will be available there. It would be a total surprise. More fun that way.
