A Leap of Faith

by Renee on September 19, 2011

On the occasion of this month’s one-year anniversary of my blog, and my 7,000th tweet as The Brewer’s Daughter, I’m very happy to announce that I have given notice at my corporate media and public relations job–and I am fully embracing the craft brewing entrepreneurial spirit shown by my father, Jack McAuliffe: I am opening up my own marketing and PR agency to promote craft beer.

The Brewer’s Daughter Marketing & Public Relations Agency has been born. (Right now it feels a little bit like the start up of the  Blue Moon Detective Agency…for those of you old enough to remember that endeavor. My husband Paul’s hairline has gone much the same way as Bruce Willis’, but he is the love of my life and my comic relief, and I am very grateful for his support.)

So, I am looking forward to jumping in full-time (as of a week from today), and I hope to meet many of you like-minded folks at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver at the end of this month. I’m very fortunate to be associating with Ginger Johnson and Women Enjoying Beer on the floor of #GABF. Please stop by and say hello if you have the chance–I’ll be working at the WEB booth on Friday, Sept. 30th, and Saturday, October 1st.

Meanwhile, I’m happy to share my experience and credentials with those of you in the brewing industry who might want and/or need a little help gaining market share, media exposure and a social media presence for your beer–I’d love to talk about some ways we might work together to elevate craft beer in general, and yours in particular. Please feel free to contact me directly at renee@brewersdaughter.com. Cheers~
